Five matches gone in the group stage thus far, and very few conclusions to be made. Group A looks to be living up to its billing as the hardest to call; whereas Group B favorites, France phoned in a relatively toothless display to fall behind early.Group A will undoubtedly come down to the final match, as no one has really taken hold of the top spot. Spain absence only raises more questions, as their Jekyll and Hyde form could see them top just as easily as bottom.
Group B saw two defensive masterclasses last night, as arch rivals Brazil and Argentina both comfortably dispatched their opponents. An early Dutch exit can be forgiven, a French one could only be seen as abject failure.
