Roma Evict Chelsea from Basement

The battle for 2nd and 3rd continues in the Champions Cup group stage, as Chelsea have managed their first win against a limp Roma side. The result was the first of two crushing blows to the Romans, the second suffered at the hands of visitors Liverpool.

With Bayern and Roma still holding 4 and 3 games in hand respectively, it is still too early to proclaim anyone dead and buried. However, with Liverpool's current form as dominating as it is, someone will have to step up against their mid-table rivals to ensure progress.
