Barca First After One-Third

This season's surprise package, Barcelona, are riding high after their 1-0 defeat of Roma this evening. DFA founding father, Brett Murphy, has led the Catalan club to a 4-0-1 record thus far, and are currently top of the table, 1 point above second placed, Chelsea.

The Spanish giants seized their opportunity to enter the International break on a high, piling on the misery to an AS Roma side who now look destined for a relegation battle. The Romans have only claimed a single point from their opening five matches, whilst scoring three and shipping twelve goals.

As Murphy stepped up to the challenge, it seems Tindle, and Arsenal, have bottled one of theirs. Facing eighth-placed Manchester United at home, Arsenal knew a win would take them to the top three. Three injuries, a booking, and a narrow loss later, the Gunners enter the break still in fifth. 

This seems to be a season of transition for the DFA, with the stronger rosters proving to be a greater advantage than ever before. It remains to be seen whether a club that has yet to muster a top-half finish in their five seasons can push on to challenge for the title. On this evidence though, who would bet against them?
