The Most Feared GIMP Striker Ever

Let's start with the front men because, let's face it, goals win games and put arses in the seats. Here is a collection of the most clinical finishers, the most instinctive poachers, and the most golden of boots. It's up to you to decide the greatest of the great. 1. Roy Makaay
(FC Bayern München)
The unassuming "nice guy" of GIMP 2006, took home the first ever league Golden Boot thanks to his unshakable consistency. He was undoubtedly skilled, but not unbalanced toward any one facet of his game. He was perhaps the most well-rounded (no fat Frank Lampard jokes, please) and reliable striker to ever grace the GIMP.

2. Zyssis Vryzas
(Greece)
It doesn't get much more infamous than Vryzas. If you thought "One man only scores, on-ly scores for Roma," then you may be too young to remember the focal point of Greece's attack in 2006. To say Vryzas was Plan A, would be a bit of an oversimplification. Vryzas was plan A-Z for the Greeks. Hey it worked, and he carried them kicking and screaming to the finals.

3. Ruud van Nistelrooy
(Manchester United FC)
This man, oddly enough, seems to have made a name for himself based solely upon his legendary performances against one manager, "Sir" David Burns. With one diagonal touch, Ruud could turn the Real Madrid defence to pudding, leaving him one on one to slot home with lethal regularity. So unbelieveable were his feats against Burns, that murmurs of match-fixing ran rampant every time Madrid would face the Red Devils.

4. David Villa
(Spain)
Another International Cup finalist, Villa's partnership with our number 5 candidate proved to be one of the deadliest tandems in GIMP history. Villa fired Spain through the group of death in 2009, and helped them cruise against Italy in the semis. Spain was kept off the scoresheet entirely in the final against Germany, but Villa still took home top honors. A testament to his lethality, he accomplished more than anyone else before the final even took place.

5. Fernando Torres
(Liverpool FC)
A season of highs for Liverpool came down this man's magical partnership with 2009 top performer, Steven Gerrard. Torres proved to be nothing less than a difference maker for his club, turning potential draws into wins by snatching late goals with stunning regularity. His youth and unerring comittment to the red half of Merseyside sees him set to become the all-time GIMP goal scorer if he can continue his world-class form.
