Barca Bombards United
Barca manager, Brett Gilman, has collected his first three points of the season in some style, hitting 11 goals past Manchester United. Quite confident in his pre-match banter, United's Grecian gaffer slowly saw his side drift below an insurmountable deficit.
Only notching 3 goals in the 4 matches prior to this contest, Barca had apparently been pent up for too long; as there is an inevitability surrounding an sputtering offense that boasts the finest attacking players in the world.
Cue the laughing horde's exclamations of hilarious irony (see comment #4 on previous post) and "where's YOUR goalkeeper?" chants at subsequent matches.
Group B(ottlers) Finishes Round
Perhaps more shocking than an 11-4 scoreline is the news that the final fixture in the international break has finally been completed, ending in a turgid 2-2 draw. The draw sees Greece blow a golden opportunity to go clear at the top of the group. There is still all to play for over the next round, and should make for some final day magic.
Three Punch Ticket to League Cup Semi
In "what a wonky competition format" news, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Spurs have all qualified for the next round of the League Cup; ahead of Man Utd, Roma, and Arsenal, respectively. They will play each other twice, in a home and away group style format, and the top two will progress to the final.
Liverpool Aims for Top Seed in Champs Cup Knockouts
Favorable results both involving and separate from their own control have seen Liverpool perched high atop the group stage for the Champions Cup. The X factor will be Roma, who will probably be out of DFA action until next week, if not longer.
