The first round fixtures of the DFA's oldest cup competition is set, and there are some tasty match-ups to look forward to. Liverpool will meet Spurs for the second time in a domestic cup, though not as glamorous a tie as their last meeting, the first ever DFA League Cup final. Barcelona will host the Romans in a battle of the consistently inconsistent. GIMP rivals Manchester United will begrudgingly welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford in what should be a profanity-laden affair; and the 4th fixture will see two managers who are currently in line for the Arsenal job next season square off in a renewed quest for their first piece of GIMP silverware.
The DFA Cup is a single-elimination, knockout format competition. The final will be the last match of the 2009/2010 Winter season.
The 2nd round draw will take place immediately following the conclusion of round 1.
