1. Barca v Milan
Two once polar opposites have now met at a common crossroad. Will they continue on their current paths or will this match be the beginning of a reversal of fortune?
2. Chelsea v Inter
Last year's runner-up against this year new boy. Will all go as expected or will the debutant turn some heads?
3. Liverpool v Arsenal
A replay of last season's opening fixture. Last season's table bookends will do battle on familiar ground. This result could set an early tone for each side.
4. Roma v Bayern
Mid-table rivals at odds straightaway. Last season's new boy will look to go one better, while last season's slow starter will try to right former wrongs.
