Pruitt's 'Pool Clinch 3rd League Title

Liverpool manager, Liam Pruitt was understandably chuffed after leading his club to their 3rd consecutive league title

Liverpool has landed their third DFA Premier League title after dispatching Inter Milan 5-0. The Reds looked dominant throughout, notching 11 shots on target in the first half alone. Man of the match Fernando Torres hit a hat trick before Fabio Aurelio and Alberto Aquilani  added one each. The result leaves Liverpool on 34 points, with two matches remaining, more than enough to clinch Pruitt's 5th consecutive league title. In fact, no other manager has won the league since the GIMP's founding in the fall of 2006.

Pruitt was understandably thrilled with his side's performance this season, but stressed there was still work to be done. "I know we've clinched the league, but I'd really like to take the 'invincible' crown. No club has ever achieved this, and I feel our boys are good enough to accomplish it. We've not spent the money of a Chelsea, nor do we have the depth and skill of a Barcelona, but we've punched above our weight immensely. I'm proud of the lads, but we'll only relax after the Champions Cup final."

Perennial league also-rans, Chelsea have made a hash of the second half of the season. They at one point were poised to push Liverpool down to the wire, but could now wind up finishing third...or worse.
