Liverpool overcame a shaky start at Eastlands to eventually hit five past Manchester City. The injured Daniel Agger made way for the Reds, throwing Martin Skrtel into the fray. The Slovakian took over right where the Dane left off, guiding Liverpool to their third consecutive League clean sheet. Steven Gerrard calmed his sides' nerves with a 23rd minute free kick, shortly before Carlos Tevez's point blank shot was saved by Pepe Reina. Lucky to be level at half time the Reds made their fortune count as Torres' second half hat trick and Kuyt's cushion flattered the visitors.
Inter Live Up to the Hype
Ingoglia put any doubters to bed, dispatching Bayern quite easily on the back of some impressive performances by his side's massive names. What used to be a bogey side for Ingoglia turned out to be a minor speed bump for his squad this season. Eto'o and Sneijder dropped Bayern's heads early on, and a swift retort from Thomas Müller was the only positive before Milito put matters to bed. Early doors, but Ingoglia looks to be every bit the title contender he once was, and with a squad this talented, anything less would be an epic failure.
Roma Rooted to Champs Cup BasementThe writing seems to be on the wall early for AS Roma this season. 4 matches played: 4 goals scored, 13 conceded, 1 point collected (in all competitions). Their second Champions Cup defeat in as many attempts puts them rock bottom and looking set for an early exit. Francesco Totti is still doing his part, scoring 50% of Roma's 4 goals thus far, but his "one man team" days look to be dead and buried. The Romans need another savior, and fast, or they'll find themselves in a similar situation in the league as well.
Run some form of a 4-4-2... Let Adriano & Totti play together up front and have Perrotta , Vucinic and De Rossi work in the midfield.
