Liverpool have dragged Chelsea back into the title race after crushing them 4-0 in London. A Luis Suarez brace, book-ended by an Andy Carroll opener and Steven Gerrard penalty saw the Reds re-ignite their title hopes.
It was an emphatic display by Pruitt's men, claiming 55% of possession and comfortably winning the shots on target stakes with 13 to Chelsea's 2. It was certainly one of Pepe Reina's easier clean sheets of the season, as man of the match, Daniel Agger, put in a monstrous display alongside Jaime Carragher in central defense.
The result closes the gap between the top two to a solitary point, and brings Inter into the title race as they sit merely three points off the top. With four matches remaining, Chelsea and Burns will feel they must take maximum points in order to end Liverpool's league title streak at three in a row.

Good game. It was a shame the first time we tried to play had to be cut 30 minutes short because of a glitch. Most other managers would've accepted the draw or only replayed one half. It was fun playing a full one even though I had it handed to me.

I paused during a throw in, made a change go my formation and the game was split in two. Its fine. He deserved to win the second match. He played very well.

ReplyDeleteScreaming profanity over nothing is going to be met with the appropriate response. "Lose lose" for who? If I react with the same aplomb that you do, you play the victim, if I fail to dignify your mudslinging you launch into an entirely different victimization diatribe. Either way, I'll not be a party to unfounded complaints, see the explanation in the next post.
Oh, the "Yawn" was directed at your sweary rush to judgment above, not Burns. Hope that clears things up.
