Wilshere's Poor Form Sees Him Dropped From England

English manager, David Burns, is under a lot of pressure to produce this summer after failing to make out the group stage of last season's International Tournament.  Burns took a lot of criticism for his last squad selection, which included the omissions of Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Aaron Lennon and Scott Parker.  Many believed that the former International Cup champion would bring back many of these big names to help compete against the vastly superior squads involved in the tournament this season.  Burns however, has decided to leave several of these players off his squad again.

Jack Wilshere, who started all of England's matches last tournament, has also surprisingly been left out of the squad.  "Jack was fantastic for us last tournament.  We had a few spots left in the midfield and we went back and forth between a few different guys.  The decision came ultimately came down to match fitness and current form.  Jack struggled to make his way into the squad for Adam (Tindle) at Arsenal this season. We felt that there were a few more players that just deserved it a little more because of current form."

England start their road to qualification against rivals Germany.
