The following are the necessary steps to ensure a uniform and level playing field:
- Everyone is to set your controls (in your option menu-outside of match invitation) to "semi" for "shooting" and "crossing". The rest will be left on "assisted".
- The home manager will send the match invitation. He is to set "game speed" to "slow". He is to set "half time" to "10 minutes".
- There is no Man of the Match awarded by the computer post-match anymore. Both participants are to confer in selecting the recipient of the award. The criteria for selection are listed here in order of importance.
- Winning team.
- Highest player rating for that match. Found at "player ratings" screen.
- If there are two or more players with the same rating the choice will be made based upon:
- Number of goals scored.
- Importance of goals scored.
- Number of saves made.(GK)
- Mid-play pauses will be frowned upon. (A ball that is clearly headed out of play is not a mid-play pause) Repeat offenders will be punished.
- Intentional disconnections will be punished severely.
- An intentional disconnection immediately following a match that prevents the final match facts to be recorded is just as deviant as one that occurs after going 3 goals down. Both bring the competition into disrepute and both will be punished as such.
The Community Shield between Liverpool FC and AS Roma is scheduled to take place Wednesday, 4 November. KO time TBA.
The manager of the Greeks and Club to be Named Later FC will be booked early in the season and schedule changes will be made to accommodate. I have been personally assured he will make up all games in hand in a reasonable amount of time.
Still not sure why passing wouldn't be placed on "semi" as well. If shooting and crossing are placed on that, why would we leave out the option of passing? Just as "slow" gameplay makes for a much more methodical and realistic game, the implementation of semi-assisted passing would get rid of most "pin-ball" style passing that sometimes unrealistically plagues the pitch of our digital stadiums.
ReplyDeleteJust to be clear. If a ball is heading out of play, it is ok to pause before the play is dead?
ReplyDeleteIf it is apparent that the ball will certainly head out of play, and there is NO chance of a player reaching it, then I see no problem with that pause.
