In the wake of the announcement that a certain manager would be seeking an early exit from his commitment to the DFA, the league has been nothing but efficient. Nine matches alone were played yesterday. A further five were concluded
(with a 3-0 forfeit and a 3 point deduction). It seems the ball and chain has been identified and dealt with. If you blinked last night, here's what you missed.
Barca/Gilled-Man catches fire.
Three wins on the trot for former cookie, Gilman, as he looks to retain the right to play with the finest lineup ever seen by the DFA next season. Barca brushed aside second place, Chelsea, and third place, Bayern; before handing Spain a loss in the international cup. It seems that Barca will not be seeking new management for next season.
Liverpool finally lose; but set another record.
Liverpool's unbeaten run finally came to an end last night at the hands of Drog- er, I mean Chelsea. No has been able to wage a perfect season in the DFA, but LFC's 15-match League unbeaten streak is the closest thus far; topping previous record holder, themselves from last season (10 league games).
International tournament finally moves ahead.
And all it took was for someone to quit. Due to the long overdue removal of dead weight, Group B finally allowed us all to move forward with the International Cup. The group leaders, Greece, were dishonorably discharged, thrusting France and Spain through to the knockout rounds. France already succumbed to Group A runner-up, England at Wembly. While Spain were handed a plane ticket to Berlin.
Expect that match, followed by the final and 3rd place match to take place tonight.
