No Regrets For Burns

England gaffer, David Burns, has been taking a lot of criticism for his team selection for this season's International tournament. Burns has left of a fair amount of England's star players at home or on the bench this season and has struggled as a result of it. Burns has elected to try the likes of Jordan Henderson, Jack Rodwell and Scott Sinclair over digital greats like Walcott, Rooney and Milner. England will now have to take a point from Italy to qualify for the semi-finals where they will have to face the favored Germans.

"I have full confidence in the players that I decided to select this season. We obviously didn't match up well with France. Their team is much too fast for us and their manager clearly knows how to play FIFA. I'm not willing to bring players that I hate along just to try to compete with the likes of (digital) France and Italy."

England where the favorites to advance from the group but have now found themselves in a position where they might not even advance to the next round.

"Sure, we were the favorites going in. That has more to do with our track record of success rather than the quality of the players on the pitch. France and Italy have stronger squads and we've done well to compete with them."

Many people are looking at the possible semi-final between the Germans and English as a more intriguing match up than the one that will take place in this years final.

"We've always enjoyed playing against Germany. We've met twice in the finals and have always played been able to play them tough. We truly believe that we match up better with the Germans than we do with teams that just want to turn the game into a track meet. It will with out a doubt be a fantastic football, not FIFA, match if we do in fact play each other."
