Assaidi Shines as 'Pool Finds Arsenal's Cross(es) Easy to Bear

Liverpool new boy, Oussama Assaidi, put in a remarkable shift against Arsenal, scoring one and setting up two more in the Reds' 4-0 romp.

Liverpool has opened up a five point gap at the top of the table after thrashing Arsenal to the tune of four goals to nil. The Reds struggled to find their rhythm early on, taking forty-nine minutes to find the breakthrough after Nuri Sahin slotted past Szczesny from sixteen yards out.

Luis Suarez then added a second four minutes later, cleaning up the rebound after Szczesny spilled his left footed snapshot. Steven Gerrard made up for his penalty miss, blasting his frustration seventeen yards into the far corner five minutes later.

It was man of the match, Assaidi who capped the goal spree after dodging Kieran Gibbs' reckless lunge- which left him with only the keeper the beat.

Arsenal manager, A. Tindle was contemplative following his side's performance, stating "Well, now I know what not to do against you [Liverpool]." One wonders if he is referring to his cross-heavy game plan. Arsenal supporters take pride in their club's usual quick-tempo passing style, and results like this are easier to take when the club goes down swinging; not in a manner that would make Tony Pulis proud.
