North London Clubs
The North London clubs by far had the worse season on the pitch. Both managers battled each other the entire year for most goals conceded, most own goals scored, least goals scored and lowest points collected. It truly was a dog fight at the bottom of the table. However, rather than fighting to not be relegated, the two looked as if they were determined to one-up each other with inept play in an attempt to be remembered as the worst GIMP team in history.
Spurs at home against Chelsea
Tottenham set a new GIMP record for largest margin of defeat with a 10-0 thrashing at the hands of Chelsea.
The Arsenal Roll-Over
A 8-1 defeat to Chelsea included 5 penalties conceded, 5 bookings and a tremendous amount of shame.
Barca's Midfield
A midfield that consists of players like Messi, Iniesta, Toure and Xavi only managed to score a combined 6 goals. Arguably the world's best midfield turned in arguably the GIMPS worst performances from a group of midfielders. Chelsea's Petr Cech had more goals scored than Xavi, Toure and was tied with Iniesta.
Ingoglia
What a fall from grace. One of the league's oldest and most successful managers turned in quite the stinker this season. Is it because he played long ball after long ball to 5'4 strikers (Arsenal too) or because he played with a team he didn't care about or was it because even in the rare opportunity when he did have a lead he outright refused to protect it?
Bayern's Performances Following a Loss
If Bayern plays 2 matches in a day and the first one ends in a loss than you can pretty much bet the house that the second one will end in a frustrating defeat and the phrase "I knew I shouldn't have played this game".
Fixture Pacing
1 week on...3 weeks off
2 days on... 2 months off
This will go down as one of the worst "time managed" GIMPS in history. Whether a valid excuse was given or someone simply just refused to play, there always seemed to be issues.
