France pulled off what many will consider the upset of the GIMP International Tournament on Monday night. After failing to take points for struggling Portugal, France answered with a "convincing" win against England.
France jumped out to an early 2-0 lead when Chelsea winger, Florent Malouda, out muscled 4 English defenders and put a well placed shot passed a diving Joe Hart. Only a minute later, Benzema managed to strip a ball from the back of Steven Gerrard to put Ribery through to a 1v1 with the English keeper.
England equalized in the second half when Frank Lampard found Steven Gerrard's head off a set piece 25 yards out to the right of goal. The second half, much like the first, was dominated by the English. France only managed 2 shots total in the second half but still managed to produce a goal from an absurd Steven Gerrard own goal.
"I'm extremely proud of the way my players played today." said Burns. "Despite being constantly getting fouled in the midfield we still managed to dominate the ball and were extremely efficient with our passing. We created a lot of chances but his keeper had our number today. A better player would've held up play on the Malouda goal. There was no where for him to go but instead of holding up the ball and waiting for support he decided to take on 3 defenders by running in a straight line. "
Burns has always been critically of Tindle's style of play and today was no different. "The match facts don't lie. He played like he normal plays. Balls out wide and blind crosses that Joe (Hart) was able to catch without a French player within 15 yards of him. The attempt at time wasting was rather cute. It may be a better option to try to actually hold onto the ball for more than 3 back passes before hoofing a long ball down field if you want to actually shed seconds off the clock."

To avoid that whiny c*** from lying I took the liberty of including match facts (click to enlarge) and two of the highlights to prove his cockery.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are all smart though and you've played him enough to know how he plays
Yes, getting bullied by malouda sucks.. Imagine if I had drogba too?!
ReplyDeleteBiggest upset? What a pompous statement. You lost and no one cares. Deal with it.
Don-2 Tindle-0
ReplyDeleteDon: don't get sucked into Burns' weasel tactics in trying to manufacture support through phrases like
ReplyDelete"You guys are all smart though and you've played him enough to know how he plays"
As if everyone was going to jump on his bandwagon after that. Didn't work so he tried the direct approach to buy some friends through taking a shot at a conversation that he himself was very much a part of. Come on Don, you're better than that.
Funny that Burns can't even buy Pruitt's support after s-ing his D all over the blog in the last post on unbeatens. Again, no one care about you Burns. If it wasn't for you posting about yourself and trying to hang onto Pruitt's coattails, we'd all be much better off.
You don't know what you're talking about. You having to play two matches in 2 days is the most football youve watched live months. Stop acting like you know what you're talkig about all the time. Youre a joke of a player and you had one decent year in the league when you rode united's d to the top four. Since then you've changed your cell phone background to a pic of the emeriates, ramped up the complaining and turned on the pretentious drivel that spues from your mouth.
ReplyDeleteStop complaining you whiny bitch and take blog post like a man.
Good win for England against Spain tonight. Great game Critt. After seeing that I think it'll be you and I going through to the next round. Beat Tommy and we'll be rolling
ReplyDeleteWhat a joke
