The "Big Two" To Ever Lose?

Last season, Liverpool became the first club in the GIMPDFA to finish a season unbeaten. With the way the 2010 Fall Season has started, it looks as if we may see two more teams finish with unbeaten records. Both Liverpool and Chelsea have started off their fall campaigns collecting points in all of their 7 matches played. Chelsea has been in top form from their first match and while Liverpool started slow, they have turned the corner and have looked as dominant as ever.

It will be a remarkable accomplishment if either, or both, of these clubs finish the fall season unbeaten. Although it is early, with the way things are going, many would be more surprised if they both don't finish without a lose than if they do.

Why they'll both finish unbeaten:

-Both Liverpool and Chelsea play a very efficient style of football. Neither clubs rely on one man and both managers score in multiple ways. They can move the ball out on the wings and be effective and unlike the majority of teams are willing and able to move the ball through the middle of the field. Both clubs pass the ball with a high effeciency rating and both are excelent at dominating possesion.

-Pruitt and Burns understand their clubs better than anyone else. Both managers have a deep understanding of every player on their roster and understand how to effectively use each player within a verity of tactical options.

-Liverpool and Chelsea have two of the strongest deffences in the league. Both clubs, especially Liverpool, force opponents to take shots they normally wouldn't take. Clubs often only manage a few shots on target and the majority of them are from distance.

Why they won't

- Chelsea and especially Liverpool, will have to face clubs that have deeper and more talented sides. Chelsea no longer has the star power on the bench as it use to and its no secret that Liverpool's squad is depleated this season.

-They will play each other one more time and it is unlikely they will draw twice within a season. Chelsea has always played Liverpool touugh but has never managed all 3 points in a league match against the Reds.
