Terry Denies Divided Locker Room

Chelsea captain, John Terry, has given his full support for manager Sir David Burns. Terry downplayed any hit of locker room unrest and division over some of the managers decisions through the first 7 matches of the season. On two occasions Burns has called for penalty kicks to be taken by two players other than the usual candidate Frank Lampard. Terry spoke out saying, "Lamps is very disappointed that he hasn't found the back of the net so far the season. He's one of our best players and we all look to him for inspiration. He's set up a few brilliant goals but he's struggled to net one himself. "

Lampard has been the biggest name not to score so far this season. Although he has contributed through set pieces, he has done little to impact any game thus far. Lampard may have the opportunity to wear the arm band against AC Milan with Burns hinting that Terry may be resting do to some lingering back problems.

There have been several speculations that a number of Chelsea players feel they are victims of favoritism by Sir Burns. A locker room source has claimed that Burns is constantly seen talking to and hanging around Joe Cole. "Burns loves everyone in this locker room. He is a great manager and has my full backing. As long as you play hard and respect the blue shirt than Burns is fully behind you." Terry was not the only one to give his support to Burns. Lampard and Ballack both expressed that Burns was the right man for the job and has done a great job keeping all the egos in the locker room in check(something that the Gene Hackman couldn't do).

Burns was unable to comment as he was busy focusing on making call ups for the first International fixture against Germany.
