Tonight's match between the boys in blue and the Red Devils left a lot to be desired. Manchester United came out extremely slow and lethargic, possibly attributable to their manager's conflict of interest after arriving late to the match due to a prior engagement. Chelsea's goals came quick, and it seemed the sleeping giants in red would never wake.
The 3-0 rout quickly became a 3-2 dogfight, but the glimmers of hope in the second half faded quickly after another disgusting Chelsea tackle took Ryan Giggs out of the game. "The loss of Giggsy seemed to demoralize this team," said Tindle. "It was my understanding that regulating this type of foul play would be a point of emphasis this year. Apparently I was mistaken."
When asked of the team's direction, Tindle commented, "Unfortunately, we'll need to pick ourselves up by the bootstraps as we've quickly realized there are no cookies on this schedule." We'll see if they can do just that in a tough matchup vs. league titan AS Roma tomorrow night...
